Roberto Baggio led the charge with 5 qualifying goals, supported by Dino Baggio, Roberto Mancini and Giuseppe Signori, each contributing 3 goals as Italy established themselves as genuine contenders heading into the tournament. A rare piece of football heritage from one of the nation's strongest qualifying campaigns.
